I know and I'm Sorry...

I have yet again been away for a while but I have been concentrating on my new venture which is Nappy Cakes...

After a long chat the other said I needed to make some money as my cards just don't sell :o(

Therefore I have been setting up something new which is Nappy Cakes. At the moment I only have them on my Face Book Group - Baby Bundle Bakes but will be setting up a website very soon. I hope that I will be able to find time for blogging and card making too but at the moment with two babies under 3 it is very hard.

Anyway, GREAT NEWS. I have managed to get a Top 3 and Top 5 recently and am able to add some special blinkies to my blog. I just need to work out what to do, lol. They were for Craftalicious Challenge 7 and Passion For Promarkers week 66. Thank you so much for picking me :o)

Off to find out if I can now add these and will see you all very soon xxxx

All wrapped up and ready to go...

Here are the first 2 nappies cakes wrapped and ready to go. What a difference the cellophane and a bit or ribbon make. I also had a go at making a flower for the top which doesn't look great in the photo but looks quite pretty on the cake.

The second is for a boy and again looks so much better wrapped. I have 2 more to make by the weekend. The other half is going to take them into work so fingers crossed I may get another order. I'd love to start up my own business but keep doubting if they are good enough to sell.

Hopefully I'll find the time to make some more cards and get blogging again very soon...

I really appreciate all of your comments and thank you for taking the time to look and comment.

Nappy Cake Order

Hello to all my lovely followers and sorry for the lack of cards in the last week. I have had an order for four nappy cakes so I have been spending what little free time I have making them. I have loved making them and have made two so far. Here are a couple of pics but they are yet to be wrapped in cellophane and prettied up with ribbon and bows. I'll be back with the cards very soon ;o)

Craftalicious Challenge 7

Hi All

Another quick post tonight as my parents are coming tomorrow so I've got loads of things to do tonight and I'm trying to squeeze in another card.

I have followed the colour combo of green and purple set by the lovely Tasha at Craftalicious. It really was a challenge but I enjoyed making it.

I have used the lovely Willow with Champagne from Whiff of Joy which has to be my favourite stamp and coloured it with Promarkers. Flowers and papers scraps are from my stash. The punched border and corners are made using the Martha Stewart rings punch around the page set.

I am entering this card into the following challenges...

Craftalicious - Green and purple colour combo
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch
CES Challenge - Anything Goes

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

I have really enjoyed making this and hope that I will get another card made to post tomorrow so fingers crossed!

I am entering this card into

I did it :o)

Well I've managed to get to my stash. Now for dinner, bath kids and settle them to bed and let the crafting commence.

So Happy :o)

Enough is Enough I need my stash...

Hi All

I hope you are all well. Sorry I have not been blogging much but with my stash still boxed away I have found it hard to even look at anything craft related as I really want to just sit down and create something.

Well we still haven't had the heating fitted but it has been confirmed that there is no asbestos in the house. British Gas are now messing us around and have given and cancelled 3 new installation dates. We are now being told that it will be the beginning of October.

I just cannot be without my stash any longer but it is all packed under the stairs with a unit full of the OH's Books, DVD's, Videos and CD's in front of it. It's going to be a mammoth task to get to my boxes as it's not as simple as moving the unit, everything has to come off first but it has to be done.

Fingers crossed that I will be able to make something tonight :0)

Wish me luck...

Craft stash boxed away longer than I thought :o( And some sad news :o(

Hi All

Hope you are all well and crafting loads.

As some of you are aware my craft stash is boxed up in order to have central heating installed. How I have missed my bits!

On Monday the guys came to start fitting our heating at 9 am but they were gone by 9.15 am. They were doing final checks before starting and found an unrecognisable material in the airing cupboard which could be asbestos so therefore can't do anything until material is checked!

I completely understand the safety issues as my ex boyfriend (whom I was with for 11 years and I still speak to weekly) told me his Mum was only diagnosed a week ago with lung cancer due to asbestos...

How I cried, she is a lovely lady who has been a healthy happy person since I met her almost 20 years ago. I have everything crossed for you Trisha and you will come through this. John, you are always in my thoughts and stay strong xxx

Love and Hugs to all

The Beautiful Willow with Champagne

Hi All

Here's my first card using this beautiful stamp - Willow with Champagne. I bought the stamp a few months ago and fell in love with it but it is the first time she had made it onto a card. As my stash is boxed up at the moment I just grabbed a folder of paper scraps that was on the top of the box. I tend not to use much green but I love the way the card turned out.

I have used a fabulous sketch by Bev on Whiff of Joy challenge blog and am entering this challenge.

I'm also entering this card into the following...

Crafty Catz Challenge - Summer Time
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Summer Days
The Stamp Man - Anything Goes

My Gorgoeus Little Monkeys

Hey All

As I am finally back posting again I thought I would add a few pics of my Gorgeous Babies, Caitlin will be 3 in October and Lewis will be 2 in December. I can't believe where the time has gone. They are my world and I wish time would slow down a bit...

Just off to give them bedtime cuddles. I love you Caitlin and Lewis xxx

Here's Another ;o)

Hello again,

Just a really quick post as I'm in the middle of cooking dinner then it will be the kids bath, story and bedtime. Caitlin has been a little monkey recently often climbing over the stair gate and coming downstairs until about 10pm. The Super Nanny stay in bed technique just hasn't worked for us. So any ideas???

Anyway on to the card. I have used the gorgeous Baby Girl stamp from Lili of the Valley and coloured it with ProMarkers. Papers are from scraps in my stash that I had been trying to use up before cutting into full sheets. The ribbon has been recycled as it came from so sample cards that were sent to my partners work.

I am entering this card into the following challenges...

KL Stampin and Scrappin - Ribbon
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Cutie Patootie
Practical Scrappers - Stash over a year old (I used papers)
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Anything Goes

That's all for now but I still I one more card to post either later tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

I'm still here, just that...

Hi All

I hope you are all well :o)

What a week of poorly babies? How I feel sorry for them :o(

We've had temperatures, sickness and rashes, screaming at the Doctors (Caitlin and Lewis), not me, lol. Dr said it could just be a virus. I have not been feeling too great and now have a rash on my legs similar to my babies. What could it be?

I just wanted to say that I am still here but at the moment my craft stuff isn't :o(

Our Landlord is having a new boiler and central heating system fitted the 1st week of August and my craft stuff along with so many other things have had to be boxed up... I did manage to make 3 cards for challenges although I can't find my camera cable to upload them. It's in a box somewhere, but which box???

I also have another project on the go at the moment which is to give my lovely MIL (Helen) a craft room. She is on holiday at the moment and it is her Birthday at the end of the month. I hope I can get it finished on time so she can have her own little craft haven. I will post photo's once I have checked it is ok with her.

I have to say I have found it hard not to sit and play with the bits I am sorting :0) Might have to make a Birthday card using her things, lol ;0)

I know I am rambling as usual but I would just like to add a big Thank You to my lovely friend Tasha for my gorgeous Birthday card and gift, big hugs xxx

Bed is now calling for me so goodnight all and once things are a bit less hectic I will be back!

My First Nappy Cake

Hi All

I wanted to post this a while back but had been without a computer. This was my first attempt at a nappy cake for my Sister in Law Tina who had a lovely little boy called Riley. I really enjoyed making it and grew quite attached to it. When I handed it over to Tina she cried but she reasured me they were happy tears, lol! I really didn't expect that reaction so had a few tears myself too, lol.

I have been asked to make another one at the end of July for my Mother in Laws work colleague but I will have so wait until we know the sex of the baby. I really hope I get the chance to make a pink one this time.

Thanks for looking.

I'm back but no cards to show :o(

Hi All

I'm so sorry that I have been away for so long but our computer died 'big time' and lost so many precious things! Thanks to my partners lovely Stepdad we now have a working p.c and I can finally catch up on all I have missed. Also without blogging my mojo has been awol for such a long time that I need help to get it back!

Luckily I had all the kids pics on memory cards (and my partner wonders why I keep buying new ones when thay are full)! However there are things that I can't get back like peoples postal and email addresses that rather stupidly I hadn't written down :0( Also emails from a particular person who is so lovely to me (Tash Babe, it's you, how I've missed you as you always make me laugh) xxx

Anyway, I hope to catch up with all you lovely people that I have followed and who have followed me in the past but obviously it is going to take some time.

P.s My Birthday is coming up and I have asked for little bit of crafting cash from my parents but I have been out of the crafting loop for so long. If you had £30-£40 that you wanted to spend purely on crafting what would you buy?

We have been on hols for 4 nights last week to Butlins in Bognor and has a brilliant time watching the kids enjoy themselves (Pic's to follow) but I need to get crafting again. On holiday I asked my beautiful daughter Caitlin what she would like to do? The options were endless from beach to swimming, play areas to fair grounds but she said "Mummy and Caitlin do stamping and colouring"... How bad did I feel that my stamps and Promarkers were at home stuck in a box collecting dust over the last 2 months?

Hope you are all doing well and I'll visit very soon but I need to go to bed now so night all and thank you for being you :0)

Big hugs

Hard work, Excitement, Now wanting a little cry! lol...

Hi all

I hope you have had a wonderful Easter Weekend. Sorry for the lack of posts recently and also comments on your lovely blogs but I've been poorly although I'm getting better now. I'll be playing catch up in the week though :0)

I did 2 all day car boot sales this weekend. I battled through the very early mornings, ouch, Traders raiding my car as soon as I pulled up and one opening my car door and scaring the life out of me, cold wind and rain showers! Still I felt so happy that I had made enough money to buy all of the Whiff of Joy City Girls stamps and Willow writing recipes which I have wanted since they came out.

I have just been on WOJ site only to find out that 3 of them are out of stock. It's just my luck, lol. I really do feel like crying now...

Does anyone know anywhere else that I can buy them from without having to pay more for the stamps and postage please? I know that some places can sell them but not online but I don't know how to find out who stocks them.

Anyway that's my little moan over and I wish you all a great week and hope there is someone out there that can let me know where to buy them...

Thanks all and night night :0)

Not A Happy Bunny :o(

Hi All

Last night just didn't go to plan for me. I finished my entry for Whiff of Joy - Coffee and Cream at about 8pm and went to upload it but I lost my internet connection and by the time it came back it was too late for me to enter.

I don't seem to get much time at the moment to make cards with my 2 gorgeous monkeys around so when I do get to make a card I like to enter it into more than one challenge. I am entering this one into the following :0)

Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays - Open
Stampin' For the Weekend - Monocromatic
Ooh La La Creations - Anything Goes
Pile It On - One Colour and A Neutral

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 29

Hi All

Last night I had a go at making a card following Tiets sketch for The Sugar Bowl and this is what I came up with. I have trouble using oranges but I really wanted to use the Papermania Paper Capsule collection from my Docrafts Goody Bag that has been sat there staring at me for weeks. This was a lovely sketch to follow and I'll be using it again.

Image Sugar Nellie - Chick-a-Dee
Paper - Papermania Capsule Collection
Flowers and Button from stash and Papermania Capsule Collection
Coloured with Promarkers

I'm off with the kids shopping now and will probably get soaked as we seem to whenever we go...

Hope you are all having a great week.

What a week but I Have Won my first challenge, so happy!

Hello peeps I hope you are all well and having loads of crafting time!

I want to apologise for not visiting your blogs much recently. This week I've had a cold and sneezed and hurt my back. Bad Times :0(

I've been feeling a little low as I've not had any craft time as I can't sit in one place for long but I popped on the computer yesterday and thought I would just have a look at Passion For ProMarkers as I love this blog. I looked at a couple of tutorials and a few of the DT cards and as I was about to close it down I noticed my card in a little picture at the top right of the page. I was shocked to see that I was the winner of week 35. Good Times :0)

I never win anything so Thank You for picking me Passion for ProMarkers.

Have a great weekend, what's left of it and take care.

New Challenge Blog - "A Gem of a Challenge"

Just a quickie as I should be in bed but I can't sleep! .

Today we've been trying to clear my crafting clutter and doing housework that has been forgotten about since attempting to get back into my card making.

Oh what a state we have got into! I have enjoyed finding things I had forgotten about and so have my little Caitlin and Lewis! Everything I want to get rid of they wanted to keep! Little Lewis just wants to eat everything and Caitlin wants to stamp everything even if there's no ink on it! So, If you have any tips on being a Mum of 2 little one's with a tidy house and yet still plenty of cleaning/crafting time then please let me know your secrets!!!

Anyway, as a bit of a 'time out' I thought I would have a little look at what us going on in the blogging world and I came across a new challenge, "A Gem of a Challenge", starting on the 8th February at 8.30am.

It is a monthly challenge (at the moment) and the lucky winner will get their choice of 2 of the lovely Pink Gem Stamps. I only have 3 Pink Gem stamps so far but a very large wish list too as they are beautiful stamps that give such clear images and great to colour in. Take a look at the range of stamps here :0) and please let your followers know too ;0)

I hope to see you in the first challenge :0)

Take care,

Hugs

Challenge Card

Here is my entry for the Stampin' for the Weekend which follows the lovely sketch from Fiona and Passion for ProMarkers challenges. Over at Papertake Weekly Challenge the theme is Pink although other colours may be used but it has to be predominantly pink and now that I have entered I'm not sure it is pink enough! I have coloured the image with ProMarkers and used paper from my stash. The stamp is from Sugar Nellie - Pen Pal.

Thanks for looking and also for all the lovely comments on my last post. It is much appreciated :0)

One card - 10 Challenges

It's been a while since my last post. I'm glad to say that the snow here is starting to thaw. I built a snow bear who was 7ft tall and he has quite a lean on him now, looks like he is going to crash to the ground any minute. It was lovely for the first 2 days but we have all been cooped up in our little house for too long now.

Still at least I have found the time to make a card with my new Whiff of Joy Stamp. I have made this card for my friend Rachael who's little boy Charley arrived 6 weeks early. He is doing really well considering and they hope to go home soon.

I am entering this card in 10 challenges and have followed the lovely sketch on Whiff of joy and used the colours Cocoa and Cool Aqua for the Passion for ProMarkers Challenge. My new stamp that arrived yesterday is being used for Crafty Cardmakers Challenge and I have used layering for the ABC Challenge. Again using the new stamp I have entered Charisma Cardz Challenge, Raise the Bar Challenge and Creative Inspirations which you need to use new stash. The Colour Create Challenge uses the colours Kraft, Blue and White. A card for a New Born Child is the challenge over at Fun with Shapes and more and over at By The Cute And Girly the challenge is for something New.

I'm really looking forward to making more cards this year and I think this stamp will come in very handy as there are 5 more babies due to friends and family between now and March. They certainly have been busy, lol.

Well thanks for looking and for any comments left. I really appreciate it...

Take care all and have a lovely weekend xxx

First Card of 2010 - New Challenge

Here is my first card of 2010 which I am going to enter into a challenge for The Sugar Bowl Challenge 26. I have followed a brilliant and really easy sketch from Lilian here,

http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/challenge-26-lilians-sketch.html

You also have to use something 'new' ie New Baby, House, or even new stash. I have used my new nesties and a new stamp from Sugar Nellie (Pen pal)! The image is coloured using Pro Markers some of which are new too and I will be sending this card to one of my new online buddies.

Anyway I wish you all a fantastic New Year and hope to be doing more blogging this year.

Take care and thanks for looking xx
